Abstract

Modern healthcare delivery depends on coordinated clinical, technical, administrative, and information-management functions. Radiology, sterilization services, health administration, medical secretarial services, health information management, and medical records management contribute to diagnostic accuracy, infection prevention, organizational efficiency, continuity of care, and patient safety. Despite their interdependence, these functions may operate within separate departmental structures, resulting in communication gaps, workflow delays, incomplete documentation, and avoidable operational risks.
To examine the complementary roles of radiology, sterilization, health administration, medical secretarial services, health information management, and medical records management and propose an integrated framework for improving healthcare quality, operational performance, and patient safety.
This narrative review synthesizes established principles, professional practices, international guidance, and relevant literature concerning diagnostic imaging, sterilization and infection prevention, healthcare administration, medical documentation, health information systems, and medical records governance. Relevant publications and guidance from international healthcare organizations and professional bodies provide a conceptual foundation for the proposed framework. This manuscript does not report a newly conducted systematic search or a formal quantitative synthesis.
