Knowledge Management in Smart Universities: Applying the Seci Spiral Model to Teacher Education Research
Main Article Content
Abstract
Due to the growth of Smart Universities, new knowledge management (KM) systems must be put into practice to ensure quality teacher education. By implementing the expanded knowledge spiral (SECI) model, this study aims to provide new ways of teaching theory to help develop pedagogical competencies among pedagogical teachers. A theoretical overview was conducted as well as a survey (N=470 faculty members and student teachers from regional and pedagogical universities in the Southern region) and experimental studies were carried out. Using experiential learning, the study developed and validated a 5-step thematic instructional process to teach using the concept of knowledge being transferred from tacit knowledge to explicit knowledge and vice versa. This will allow pre-service teachers to improve their professional knowledge when teaching in smart universities
