An Innovative Treatment for Florid Cellulitis Leg (Multiple Mini-Fasciotomies - MMF)

Abstract

A new innovative surgical approach, Multiple Mini Fasciotomies (MMF), is described to hasten resolution of florid cellulitis of leg and foot. Simplicity of the procedure and the prompt favorable response within 12-24 hours, in an apparently hopeless situation, is considered very useful in minimizing the morbidity and complications of sepsis. Though the number of cases (n) is not very large, consistent improvement in all cases who underwent this procedure, is being reported.
