Effects of IOT Devices on Human Health: A Comprehensive Survey

Abstract

IOT devices have varied domain specific applications. In this work, a comprehensive study is conducted to map   IOT devices to its effect on human health via the radiations emitted. The short- and long-range radiations emitted by the IOT devices has the potential of affecting human health. A research protocol was developed to check the application areas of IOT devices, different radiations emitted from the IOT devices and how these radiations can potentially affect human health. The radiations emitted from IOT devices have several short- and long-term effects as show in the existing literature.  The paper concludes with recommendations from the existing literature about IOT devices usage.
